Ingredients

8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

1 lb ground beef (85% lean)

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes (with juices)

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Sauté Vegetables: To the beef, add the diced onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until the onion is translucent and the peppers are tender.

Add Tomatoes & Cream: Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juices), heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine Pasta & Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, stirring until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Finish & Serve: Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
