Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil, for frying

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage

1 avocado, sliced

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Lime wedges, for serving

Bang Bang Sauce:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha (or to taste)

1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice until smooth. Set aside.

Marinate the Shrimp: Place shrimp in a bowl and pour buttermilk over them. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Prepare the Breading: In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

Bread the Shrimp: Remove shrimp from buttermilk, allowing the excess to drip off. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated.

Fry the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove shrimp and drain on paper towels.

Warm the Tortillas: In a dry skillet, warm corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Assemble the Tacos: On each tortilla, place a handful of shredded cabbage, 2-3 fried shrimp, a slice of avocado, and a drizzle of Bang Bang sauce. Top with chopped cilantro.

Serve: Squeeze lime juice over the tacos and serve immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.
