Ingredients

1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 5-7 pounds)

1 cup apricot preserves

1/2 cup honey

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 cup apple juice

Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

Place the ham in a large roasting pan, flat side down. Use aluminum foil to cover the top loosely, preventing it from drying out.

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the apricot preserves, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and nutmeg. Stir until the mixture is smooth and heated through.

Remove the foil from the ham and brush half of the apricot-honey glaze over the surface of the ham, making sure to cover all exposed areas to enhance flavor and moisture.

Pour the apple juice along the bottom of the roasting pan to keep the ham moist while baking.

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour.

After 1 hour, remove the foil and brush the remaining glaze over the ham. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30-45 minutes, or until heated thoroughly and caramelized on top. Baste the ham with the pan juices every 15 minutes for added moisture and flavor.

Once done, remove the ham from the oven and allow it to rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.

                  Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 10-12

                    - Serving Suggestion: Serve the sliced ham on a large platter, drizzled with any remaining glaze, and sprinkle fresh thyme sprigs for an aromatic touch. Pair it with roasted seasonal vegetables or a light salad for a balanced meal.
