Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon ground cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin fries, approximately 1/4 inch thick. Try to keep them uniform to ensure even cooking.

Soak the Fries: Place the cut sweet potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. This step helps achieve extra crispiness.

Preheat the Air Fryer: While the fries are soaking, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Season the Fries: Drain the sweet potatoes, pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel, and transfer them to a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper over the top. Toss the sweet potatoes until they are evenly coated with the oil and spices.

Air Fry the Sweet Potato Fries: Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to work in batches). Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure they cook evenly and get crispy.

Check for Doneness: After 12 minutes, check the fries. They should be golden brown and crisp. If they need more time, continue cooking in 2-minute increments until perfect.

Serve: Remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley for an extra splash of color.
