Ingredients

1 pound fresh lump crab meat

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 large egg, lightly beaten

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chopped green onions, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until evenly combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

Form the Cakes: Using your hands, shape the crab mixture into patties, about 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. You should get around 8 cakes from the mixture.

Chill the Cakes: Place the formed crab cakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This helps them hold their shape during cooking.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Prepare for Cooking: Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with cooking spray or olive oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the crab cakes in a single layer in the basket, leaving space between each cake for even cooking.

Cook: Air fry the crab cakes at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the crab cakes from the air fryer. Serve them hot with a squeeze of lemon or your favorite dipping sauce.
