Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

4 slices beef bacon

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 slices American cheese

2 hoagie rolls

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh lettuce and tomatoes, for topping

Instructions

Cook the Beef Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the beef bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside on paper towels to drain excess fat. Leave a bit of the bacon fat in the pan for added flavor.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add olive oil and heat it over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Brown the Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet with the onions and garlic. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Season with Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Melt the Cheese: Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Layer the slices of American cheese on top of the beef mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow the cheese to melt, about 2-3 minutes.

Assemble the Sandwich: While the cheese is melting, slice the hoagie rolls in half. Place a generous portion of the beef and melted cheese mixture into each roll. Top with crispy beef bacon and add fresh lettuce and tomato slices.

Serve: If desired, toasting the assembled sandwich in a hot skillet or panini press for an extra layer of flavor and crunch.

              Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2

                - Presentation Tips: Cut the sandwiches diagonally and serve warm, with a side of crispy fries or a small salad for a complete meal. You can add a drizzle of hot sauce or a spread of your choice for extra flavor.
