Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced ribeye steak and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the meat is browned.

Add the sliced green bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, approximately 14x10 inches.

Layer the cooked steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese over the beef mixture.

Carefully roll the dough away from you, starting from the shorter side of the rectangle, to create a log shape. Pinch the ends to seal well, and place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the top of the stromboli with the beaten egg, which will give it a golden color as it bakes. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for extra crunch and flavor.

Make a few diagonal slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape while baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

                        - Presentation Tips: Slice the stromboli into thick pieces and arrange them on a serving platter. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a small bowl of marinara sauce in the center for dipping.
