Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry syrup
  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • as needed fresh cherries for garnish
  • optional whipped cream
  • as needed ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In tall glasses, add a few ice cubes to each one, filling it halfway.
  2. Pour 1/4 cup of cherry syrup over the ice in each glass. Adjust the amount based on your sweetness preference.
  3. Slowly pour sparkling water or club soda into the glasses until they are nearly full, leaving some space for cream. Stir gently to mix the syrup and soda together.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat the heavy cream with a hand mixer until soft peaks form. Add in the vanilla extract and continue mixing until well blended and slightly thickened.
  5. Spoon the whipped cream over the cherry soda mixture, allowing it to cloud the drink beautifully.
  6. Top each soda with a fresh cherry for a pop of color; you can also add a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw or long spoon for mixing, and enjoy your refreshing Cherry Italian Cream Soda!
