Warm Maple Brown Sugar Latte Comfort in a Cup
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk (any type: whole, almond, oat, etc.)
- 1 shot espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
- a pinch cinnamon
- to taste whipped cream (optional) for garnish
- to taste extra maple syrup for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk until it's steaming, but not boiling. Stir gently to avoid scalding.
- Once the milk is warm, remove it from the heat and add the maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of cinnamon. Whisk until everything is well combined and the sugar has dissolved.
- Brew your espresso or strong coffee accordingly. If using coffee, make it as strong as possible.
- Pour the hot milk mixture into a large mug and slowly add the espresso or coffee on top.
- Use a milk frother or an immersion blender to froth the combined mixture until it reaches your desired level of creaminess (optional).
- Top with whipped cream if desired and drizzle a little extra maple syrup on top for added sweetness and presentation.
- Sprinkle a bit more cinnamon on top for an extra touch.
💡 Chef's Notes
Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup and brown sugar.
