Strawberry Tiramisu Delightful and Easy Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled (or strong coffee)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 8-10 pieces ladyfinger biscuits
- to taste amount Cocoa powder, for dusting
- to taste amount Fresh mint leaves, for garnishing
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Toss gently and let sit for about 15 minutes to macerate, allowing the strawberries to release their juices.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the remaining sugar (2 tablespoons) and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until well incorporated and smooth, taking care not to overmix.
- Prepare a shallow dish or tray and pour the cooled espresso into a separate bowl. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso, ensuring they're coated but not soaked.
- Begin layering: Place a layer of dipped ladyfingers on the bottom of the dish, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture, then half of the macerated strawberries on top.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and berries.
- Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder for a rich finish, and garnish with fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of freshness.
