Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast Delightful Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 slices thick brioche bread
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 0.5 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 serving whipped cream (for topping)
- 1 serving additional strawberries and mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Take two slices of brioche bread and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each slice. Top with sliced strawberries, then place another slice of bread on top to form a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining bread.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides thoroughly, then place in the skillet once butter is melted.
- Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Add more butter to the skillet as needed for cooking additional sandwiches.
- Once cooked, remove from the skillet and let cool slightly before slicing in half.
- Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream on top, extra sliced strawberries, and fresh mint leaves for garnish.
