Ingredients

  • 4 fillets tilapia
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
  • 1 lemon zest of
  • 1 lemon juice of
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
  • for serving lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper for easy clean-up.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, lemon zest, and olive oil until well combined.
  3. Place the tilapia fillets on the prepared sheet pan. Drizzle lemon juice over the fillets, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spread the garlic Parmesan mixture evenly over each fillet, making sure to coat them generously.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. For a golden top, switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, watching closely to avoid burning.
  7. Once cooked, remove the sheet pan from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.

💡 Chef's Notes

For a crispier topping, broil for the last couple of minutes.
