Ingredients

  • 12 slider rolls slider rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they become soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In a separate saucepan, bring the beef broth to a simmer. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, and season with salt and pepper. Keep warm on low heat, as this will serve as your dipping sauce.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Split the slider rolls in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet. Layer each roll with a generous amount of sliced roast beef, followed by caramelized onions, and a generous handful of shredded Swiss cheese. Place the tops of the rolls back on.
  4. Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly toasted.
  5. Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Slice them into individual portions and arrange them on a serving platter. Serve warm with small cups of the beef broth for dipping. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for color and an extra burst of flavor.
