Savory Ham and Cheese Sticks Easy Snack Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 6 slices deli ham
- 6 slices cheese
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- to taste Salt and pepper
- to taste Garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.
- Lay a slice of ham on each triangle, followed by a slice of cheese. If desired, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on top of the ham.
- Sprinkle freshly chopped chives and a dash of garlic powder, if using, over the cheese for added flavor.
- Starting from the wide end of the triangle, carefully roll up each crescent to enclose the ham and cheese.
- Place the rolled sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the rolled sticks with the beaten egg for a golden-brown finish.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the top before placing them in the oven.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
