Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips for added texture and flavor.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
