Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • to taste Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, season the steak cubes generously with salt and black pepper. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  3. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned and cooked to your desired doneness (medium-rare is recommended for maximum tenderness), then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter, minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Stir until the butter is melted and the garlic becomes fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
  5. Return the steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter mixture to coat thoroughly. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
  6. Transfer the steak bites to a serving platter. Drizzle the remaining garlic butter from the skillet over them and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh, zesty finish.
