Honey Sriracha Meatballs Tasty and Flavorful Dish
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
- 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 0.25 cup chopped green onions (plus more for garnish)
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- to taste salt and pepper
- 0.25 cup honey
- 0.25 cup Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, egg, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined but be careful not to overwork the mixture.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure to space them about an inch apart to allow for even cooking.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Sriracha sauce, and soy sauce until smooth. Set aside.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove the meatballs from the oven. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the baked meatballs with the honey Sriracha sauce. Gently toss to coat them evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through.
- Transfer the coated meatballs to a serving platter and garnish with additional green onions.
💡 Chef's Notes
Serve the meatballs piled high on a platter, drizzled with additional sauce if desired, and sprinkle with sesame seeds for an extra touch. Pair with rice or lettuce wraps for a complete meal experience.
