Herb Garlic Parmesan Knots Tasty and Simple Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- to taste salt
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes for easier handling.
- On a floured surface, divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 6-8 inches long, then tie it into a knot. Place each knot on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well mixed.
- Generously brush the garlic herb butter mixture over each knot, ensuring they’re well coated.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the garlic knots, making sure to cover them evenly.
- Bake the knots in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Once done, remove the knots from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Then, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
