Goat Cheese Blackberry Grilled Cheese Delight
Ingredients
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- 0.5 cup fresh blackberries
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened goat cheese with honey and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Spread the goat cheese mixture on two slices of sourdough bread.
- Place fresh blackberries onto the goat cheese, distributing them evenly.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread to form two sandwiches.
- Spread the softened butter on the outer sides of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches in the hot skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Once both sides are golden, remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute.
- Slice the sandwiches diagonally and garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired.
- Serve immediately while warm.
💡 Chef's Notes
Serve on a rustic wooden board with extra blackberries scattered around for a pop of color. Drizzle a bit of extra honey on the side for dipping.
