Ingredients

  • 1 pound mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 whole banana, sliced
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (vanilla flavored)
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios), roughly chopped
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste leaves fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the mixed berries under cold water and pat dry gently. Slice the strawberries if they're large. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a large glass bowl or individual serving glasses, start with a layer of the yogurt mixture at the bottom.
  4. Layer half of the mixed berries and banana slices over the yogurt.
  5. Sprinkle a thin layer of granola on top of the fruits for added crunch.
  6. Add another layer of the yogurt mixture, followed by the remaining fruits and granola.
  7. Top the trifle with whipped cream, smoothing it out gently.
  8. Generously sprinkle the chopped mixed nuts over the whipped cream for a delightful crunch.
  9. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  10. Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few extra berries on top for a beautiful presentation.
