Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon (6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 whole lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 whole orange, zested and juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • as needed lemon slices and fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, orange zest, orange juice, minced garlic, dill, parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the citrus herb mixture generously over each fillet.
  4. Let the salmon marinate for about 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  5. Once marinated, bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork. Baking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the salmon garnished with lemon slices and fresh herbs for an added touch.
