Cream Cheese Strawberry Stuffed French Toast Delight
Ingredients
- 8 slices thick-cut brioche bread
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 quarter cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 half cup milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)
- 1 serving Maple syrup (for serving)
- 1 serving Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Lay 4 slices of brioche bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each slice. Distribute the sliced strawberries evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining 4 slices of brioche bread to form sandwiches.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter, allowing it to melt.
- Dip each stuffed sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, transfer the French toast sandwiches to a plate and allow them to cool slightly.
- Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color.
