Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 0.5 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth it out. Cut the pastry into 4x4 inch squares.
  3. In the center of each square, place a small cube of Brie cheese and a teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  4. If using, sprinkle a pinch of fresh rosemary over the cranberry sauce for added flavor.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a pouch, pinching the edges to seal them tightly.
  6. Place the sealed pastries on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Sprinkle a few sesame seeds on top if desired, and season with a bit of salt and pepper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes
