Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
- 4 large eggs
- 0.5 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon butter (for frying)
- 1 serving Maple syrup (for serving)
- 1 serving Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter to grease the surface.
- While the skillet heats up, pop open the can of cinnamon rolls. Cut each roll into quarters and set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Dip each quarter of the cinnamon roll into the egg mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Place the dipped pieces onto the preheated skillet, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and custardy in the center.
- Repeat with the remaining cinnamon roll pieces, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.
- Once cooked, remove the bites from the skillet and drizzle with the included icing from the cinnamon roll can.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar, and accompanied by maple syrup for dipping.
