Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk (whole or almond)
  • 1 4 cup yellow cake mix (not prepared)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles
  • 1 serving whipped cream (for topping)
  • 1 serving extra sprinkles (for garnish)
  • 1 serving maraschino cherry (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, milk, yellow cake mix, and vanilla extract.
  2. Blend on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no lumps from the cake mix.
  3. Add the rainbow sprinkles and pulse once or twice to incorporate them into the shake, but don’t blend them completely.
  4. Taste the milkshake and adjust the thickness: add more milk for a thinner shake or more ice cream for a thicker consistency, blending briefly after each addition.
  5. Pour the milkshake into a tall glass or a mason jar.
  6. Top generously with whipped cream, sprinkle extra rainbow sprinkles on top, and finish with a maraschino cherry.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the milkshake with colorful straws and a fun dessert umbrella for an extra festive touch. You could even rim the glass with frosting and sprinkles for an added flair!
