Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon Flavorful Dinner Dish
Ingredients
- 4 fillets salmon (skin-on preferred)
- 0.25 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
- to taste sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed to create the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for later use.
- Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching for even cooking.
- Air fry the salmon for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- In a small saucepan, bring the reserved marinade to a boil and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and drizzle the thickened marinade over the top.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
💡 Chef's Notes
Marinate for longer for enhanced flavor.
