Air Fryer Crispy Teriyaki Salmon Bites for Dinner
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
- 0.25 cup teriyaki sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 pieces green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)
- to taste salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, honey, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Mix well to create the marinade.
- Add the salmon cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat all pieces thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Once marinated, remove the salmon from the refrigerator and sprinkle cornstarch over the cubes. Toss gently to evenly coat each piece with cornstarch, which will help achieve a crispy exterior.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
- Air fry the salmon bites for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy on the outside. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the crispy salmon bites from the air fryer and season with a little salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the salmon bites to a serving platter. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
💡 Chef's Notes
For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
